Personal data that is processed when you register a FUSION product:
When you register a FUSION product, we ask you to provide your name, email address, country or region, and product information.
PURPOSES AND LEGAL GROUNDS:
(a) FUSION processes your name for the purpose of verifying your registered products when you call customer support or to communicate with you about your transactions or products. You are not required to enter your name or even provide your full name. The legal ground for processing your name for these purposes is our legitimate interest in providing you with quality customer support and warranty services.
(c) If you provide your opt-in consent to receiving marketing information from FUSION, FUSION will also process your email address for the purpose of sending you marketing information about FUSION products. The legal ground for processing your email address for this purpose is your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our marketing emails. The marketing emails you receive from FUSION are based on your country or region, your preferences, and the FUSION devices that you have registered. The legal ground for processing this data for this purpose is our legitimate interest in reducing the number of marketing emails sent to each particular customer to only those which are relevant to that particular customer’s interests, region, or FUSION products.
(d) FUSION also processes your email address to associate it with your FUSION product registration when you interact with our customer support representatives. The legal ground for this processing is our legitimate interest in providing quality customer support.
(e) FUSION processes your region to identify the appropriate support team. The legal ground for processing your region for this purpose is our legitimate interest in providing you with quality customer support.
(f) FUSION processes your product information, such as the model and serial number, to complete your product registration. The legal ground for processing your product information for this purpose is our legitimate interest in providing you with quality customer support and warranty services.
Personal data that is processed when you communicate with FUSION:
When you interact with our customer support representatives via email, telephone, or in person, we collect personal data, such as your name, mailing address, phone number, email address and contact preferences; and information about the FUSION products you own, such as their serial numbers, software versions, and dates of purchase. We also may create event logs that are useful in diagnosing product or app performance-related issues, and capture information relating to the support or service issue. To improve customer service, subject to applicable laws, we may also record and review conversations with customer support representatives, and analyze any feedback provided to us through voluntary customer surveys.

Any transfers of personal data to Garmin companies in third countries that are not deemed adequate by the European Commission are done pursuant to European Commission approved Model Contractual Clauses.

If you do not want information collected through the use of these technologies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows you to automatically decline many of these technologies, or to be given the choice of declining or accepting them.
The legal ground for processing this analytical information is our legitimate interest in understanding how our customers interact with our products, apps and websites so we can enhance the user experience and functionality of our products, apps and websites.

Google: Google Analytics is used to track site statistics and user demographics, interests and behavior on apps and websites. We also use Google Search Console to help understand how our website visitors find our website and to improve our search engine optimization. Firebase (Crashlytics): Firebase (Crashlytics), which is a Google service, is used to help us better understand usage of Fusion apps to improve user experience and to identify and resolve the root causes of app crashes.
Retention of Personal Data
We will retain your personal data as long as it is needed for the purposes for which it was collected. In addition, see below under “Your Rights” for a description of your right of erasure.
Your personal data collected by FUSION is controlled by Garmin New Zealand Limited dba FUSION Entertainment, which is located at 5 Wilkins Street, Freemans Bay, Auckland 1011, New Zealand.
If you reside in the European Union, you have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation to request from FUSION access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data, data portability, restriction of processing of your personal data, the right to object to processing of your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. If you reside outside of the European Union, you may have similar rights under your local laws.
